This piece started out as a sketch for a large mixed media wall piece I did of a sunset. I really liked it but as it was a sketch I stuck it on a block of wood painted black and left it. Recently I had some material left over from some display plinths I had made and used the material to make a proper base for the piece. Once that was done the piece just seemed to need more. What is pictured here is the end result. This piece is also completely modular, any and all of the colored disks, caps, and balls can be placed on any of the rods anywhere on the frame structure one chooses. Leave it as it is or make it your own, over and over again. The last image is how it looked before I revisited it. Really happy with this piece and love that it could evolve for the rest of its life. 28” tall x 18” x 18” as it sits now.
